Just curious if anybody else on this board skates. I’ve been skating for a close to 35 years on and off. Lately it’s been more off since I got a concussion skating last year(stupid me, left my helmet in Spain when I came here for a visit)

Today I was unpacking some stuff and found my decks, I was looking for them since I’ve gotten the skate itch real bad lately. Well now that I’ve found them it’s time to go hit up a local under bridge spot I’ve been eyeballing for a couple years.

Anyhow here’s most of my collection

I skated for 12 years from 9-21. Also used to race bmx and mx. I was 165lb back then. My fave board was my Christian Hosoi and Mike McGill (Powell and Peralta). I used to spend hours out on the street and curb practicing tricks. Got on a board about 5 years ago. Could still land a kick flip but about killed myself on some other tricks. I'm now 225lb at 46 lol.

Nice collection btw, especially the Mike McGill.

Right on, the McGills for bowls, the el gato is for bowls and cruising depending on what wheels are on it(set for cruising now) the DB is for cruising course, the joslyn was my double duty street park board in Madrid, the expedition 1 is the double duty street park in the US, the Madrid Red Bull is...well I just liked it, it’s a bit too narrow for my liking but mainly street and now for my son the mini blank was my sons first, but I could double kickflip the hell outa that one. Plus I still have a couple floating around somewhere.
I don’t do much anymore as far as tricks but can’t stop, won’t stop at least getting on one every so often and have ya good curb session or just cruising to the local brewery

I started skating in 1976, and have been into it ever since. It is my main hobby outside of my vehicles. I got my 3 sons into it as kids and they are still into it their 20's. I'm in my 50's now so I cool it on the tricks, but I've still been known to carve a pool or bowl now and then.

That is exactly how I’m doing my garage. It’s awesome that you never quit, I’m in my mid 40’s now and no plans on stopping.

More into quad skates and roller blades than boards now. I did boards in the sixties when they were a 1x4 plank and steel wheels. At 62, I picked up a board at a local flea market to see if I still could.

Nope. After a half dozen falls on my ass and a couple on my face, I have come to the conclusion that I have lost any skills I may have once had. When I get the DeSoto grill hung on my new garage wall, the board will hang next to it.

Coolest dude, I met him once at a contest. He and Tom Knox were the celebrity judges.
I've seen every episode of Loveletters to skateboarding. Best webseries ever!
That’s so awesome
I still have to catch up on the last season of letters. I started watching it when we first moved to Madrid. It would watch an episode then go skate a bit
