Anybody know what angle to set Barnes rear shock brackets?

Just got a rear Dana 44 but the brackets were all toast so ordered all new Barnes upper, lower, and shock brackets for the axle side only… just wondering if I need to set the shock brackets at a certain angle as Barnes doesn’t have instructions. Thanks in advance!

Once you set the pinion you set up the brackets to avoid the shock rubbing the axle and to get as close to 50:50 shock travel as possible. I welded the brackets on with the axle on the rig.

I'd set them up to be at the same position/angle as the factory set them.

We usually set them up so at full droop the spring stays captive and at full bump youre not slamming the shock. Stock angle is good for stock suspension, but you can sometimes get a little more travel if you change the angle of the bracket.
