Anyone have an idea on how to deal with this electrical wiring?

For starters, my skin isn't all weird and white on my hand, it just looks like that in the pic for some reason. Lol.

I'm adding a powered subwoofer mounted to my tail gate, and obviously I need the wires long enough to be able to open the tail gate, but closing the tail gate, I can see the wires getting pinched because they're a lot longer when it's closed.

I was thinking about connecting the wires together, power, ground and RCA's, with a tie wrap, then using a spring to pull the wires back when closing the tail gate, but maybe there is a easier solution.

Here's what I'm talking about:

So, in my barn, I have water buckets with springs that encircle the power cord. Mainly so the animals don't chew it but I have seen the same setup on wires to protect them and keep them pointed in the direction you want.

Hmmmmmm...

Edit- They have power cords because they are heated in the winter, no, the animals are not "that" spoiled.
