I've got a few, but nothing super high quality. My EDC that has been working for me for quite a while now, is a CRKT Terrestrial with assisted open. Decent, not great steel, G10 grips. Very solid locking mechanism that engages 100%. Sits nice and low in my pocket with a nice tight clip. Works for me. I see that its discontinued now.

I had a CRKT Endorser, which I liked a bit better...unfortunately, that one got sacrificed to the TSA when I forgot about it in my pocket and I was running late for a flight. One of those bastards got a nice knife. This is the stock image for the endorser.

I have a couple gerbers and I had a spyderco byrd at one point too. The spyderco disappeared off the back of my truck one day, the gerbers float around the shop. I also have a buck and an old timer "traditional" pocket knife. I keep coming back to my CRKT.

While I’m not “into knives”, I do carry a Kershaw Shallot designed by Ken Onion. I received it from my staff when I retired back in 2014. I’ve carried it daily ever since. Twice I forgot about it and was caught by TSA and had to buy a bag and pay an extra $25 to have it put in checked baggage. The assisted opening feature is what I like the best about Kershaw knives. It allows me to quickly open it with one hand. I also have a Kershaw Leek that is smaller that I carry when I need something light weight. While the Shallot keeps a good edge it is hard to sharpen when it does get dull.

Never really thought of myself as a knife person, but then I realized I have a Spiderco in my pocket, a Cold Steel Survivor knife in all of our vehicles, my old Navy knife on my desk, and a USMC saber (sharpened) next to the bed. I took fencing lessons for seven years and learned how to use the sword. It never runs out of ammo and most people are scared sh*tless about being cut or stabbed.

I've daily'd a Benchmade Griptillian 551 with S30V serrated blade for a few years. Sometime last Aug the clip got caught on my jacket during a chilly spell and I thought I lost it. Looked everywhere for a month. Apparently the 551 with steel serrated blade had been discontinued so I had to turn to Ebay. Found one with 154cm blade and got an okay deal on. 3 weeks after I got it, I put that old jacket on and found my old blade!
