Are TJ interior configurations identical?

Are TJ interior configurations identical for their full run, i.e., are dash parts interchangeable like glove box & trim. My interior finish looks like crap and the used 1997 used parts for sale are even worst.

I know for sure that the center bezel and the drivers lower panel changed at some point during the run. The stereo changed shape and the headlight switch moved from the dash to the column.

If yours is a 97 then there may be other issues. For instance, some of the 97 glove boxes latch differently.

But for the most part, yes, most pieces from 97–02 would be interchangeable.
