I am working on this Jeep very slowly... at this point is catching up on maintenance, and subtle mods. My wife purchased this TJ new in 2005, and it has never, and will never leave the family now. After my JT is built up for trails, then I'll start on the TJ.
So far, all stock 2005 TJ X. Has the 4.0, NSG370, and not much else for options. I swapped out the Head unit back in 2011 with a Pioneer after a CD got stuck in the stock unit. Needed tires, and just so happens that a guy in a TJ Unlimited was getting new wheels/tires, so I bought the 5 Ravines with 31's from him for like $200, and sold my stock steel wheels. 2014 I put in a new Mopar transmission to correct the popping out of reverse issue. I got a hole in the AC condenser, and replaced that. In July I replaced the Rampage frameless top with the Bestop NX, and love that I can run it as a sunrider, fully off, open sides with safari top... This is a great top! recently I added the cowl lights (only the brackes are on in thie photo), and other little cosmetic things. This weekend I'll be swapping out the stock base dash speakers for the Infinity dash speakers, so will hopefully be able to once again hear the tunes while driving!
Future plans are entirely undecided at this point, but there may be some drastic changes involving axle swaps, suspension geometry changes, highline fenders, and tire size changes...
