Automatic shifter out of reach

I just installed seats with PRP harness and I can't reach the shifter, anyone have a fix for this?

can you move/tilt the seats forward?

I'd be looking at cutting and extending the shifter with a sleeve tacked on there. You'll need to make a new longer pin for the shifter as well. If the shifter was extended would it help?
