Hey there, went for an alignment today and was told I needed new ball joints and tie rod ends. Quoted $1,200 figured I'd do it myself.

I found this kit at 1A Auto which had basically everything and more for $160, and even found a guy near me selling a similar kit for $100 still in the box. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this kit.

Seller near me kit (for a Cherokee???) Wondering if this would work.

See this thread:

Which ball joints are the best for my Jeep Wrangler TJ

The Spicer 706944X ball joints is the ONLY ball joint you should consider. I don't know of a better ball joint out there (there may be one for $600 plus, but not that I'm aware of).

Don't run anything but those Spicer 706944X ball joints. They'll last you 100k miles plus pretty easily (unless you wheel the snot out of it on 35s or something), which is more than ay of those ones in that kit will last.
Any recommendations on the tie rod ends?

Definitely would recommend the ZJ upgrade. There is a fair chance your current tie rod won't want to adjust anyway and it is a big step up in strength.
