I don’t think the Russian constitution has our 1st amendment. 🤣

Sucks for Russians, of course, but ideas have consequences and everyone in a nation has to live with the idiot decisions of their leadership.

The real people it sucks for is the Ukrainians though. They are having to leave their homes or remain in a war zone. The Russian people get to stay home and no wars in their cities and villages.

Sanctions can be good to pressure a country into stopping their imperial strategies. If people can just get around them the only choice is for another nation to launch against Russia. We should have already thrown in to help them militarily.

Credit Suisse Strategist Says We're Witnessing Birth of a New World Monetary Order

"Money" will never be the same again after the Ukraine war, writes Zoltan Pozsar, and bitcoin may be a beneficiary.
Former Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury Department official, and now Credit Suisse (CS) short-term rate strategist, Zoltan Pozsar has written the U.S. is in a commodity crisis that is giving rise to a new world monetary order that will ultimately weaken the current dollar-based system and lead to higher inflation in the West.
"This crisis is not like anything we have seen since President [Richard] Nixon took the U.S. dollar off gold in 1971," wrote Pozsar.
A was repeat would be interesting and scary. I guess we are about 1/2 way to next halving huh?
yes next bitcoin halving is around 2nd March 2024, which is why current price discussions are irrelevant, people should focus on the technology and adoption.

Hadn’t heard the last one. Fuk it, we have oil here to last until it’s all electric
There is far more too it than that, the petrodollar system means everything for the USD as The worlds currency and there is no going back to the gold standard.

"After the 1970s, the world switched from a gold standard and petrodollars emerged. These extra-circulated dollars helped elevate the U.S. dollar to the world reserve currency. The petrodollar system also facilitates petrodollar recycling, which creates liquidity and demand for assets in the financial markets. However, the cycle could reach an end if other countries abandon petrodollars and begin accepting other currencies for oil sales."
