Have a Banks Ram-Air system off my TJ - used it for ~15,000 miles and liked it, but decided to change back to stock for quick serviceability and access to filter options. It did seem to help acceleration, it did improve economy slightly, and it most definitely made the Jeep sound "better." At least in my opinion.
I just found I prefer being able to swap-in spare flat K&Ns, and/or run a paper filter, depending on dust conditions.
