Hey Guys,
I have been recently looking for an inexpensive mobile unit.
Have any of you guys seen these, used these?

To me they both seem the same other than the screen.
They are on sale right now and for me the price is right.

FYI I know what I personally can and can not do, and I also know what you can and can not do on these radios.(Please leave legality stuff out of this).

I am just curious if anyone here has use these brands, it seems they can be programmed with Chirp I just might need to make my own programming cable.
I have watched a few videos on them and they all seem to give a decent review.

IDK, I wouldn't mess with it. It seems like a 25W pain to program and dual watch not dual receive. I mean It will do some stuff, but I would expect it to be a constant annoyance. That being said, the price is hard to beat.
 
Well I couldn't help myself. I did end up buying the BJ-318. Since I found a video showing that it can be programmed with Chirp that sold it for me. China shipping shows mid May plenty of time to get an antenna and dig out my SWR meter to test it out.
Will let you guys know.
