I've owned my TJ for three years, and over that time I've been upgrading, replacing, and performing routine maintenance. One project that I've been putting off was to remove the body mount bolts and give them a good coating of anti-seize. I had been putting it off because of the horror stories that I've read about bolts snapping.
Well, today was the day. I waited until my wife left to run some errands so if one did break she wouldn't hear me cursing.
I'm happy to report that all of the bolts came out with ease, and they looked damn good for being in there for fourteen years!
The two rear bolts that connect the through the rear crossmember had some rust at the base, it looks like water sat in that little cup, but the threads were perfect.
