We are going on Friday to pick up our new to us, 2006 Wrangler Sport. We are bringing a car trailer since it is about a 3.5 hour drive (we are visiting family there anyway) Where is the best place to anchor down a TJ on a car trailer? To the frame? Tow hooks on the front? Any tips would be appreciated!

Always the axles. Never the frame or bumpers, because as the suspension bounces the straps will loosen. And remember the 60/40 rule when loading on to a trailer.

I always used the tires. I used pro-quality nylon straps. I always crossed the straps in the back. Crossing straps is one of those subjects like" what oil should I use." There are some strong opinions. The main thing is to use good straps and suitable attachment points. Important too is to locate the Jeep on the trailer so that you have the right amount of tongue weight. Congrats on the new Jeep!
