Biggest snow storm in 129 years!

who would think there would be 20.6 inches of snow and counting on April 14th? 2.6 inches away from biggest storm ever in Green Bay wi. This is in manitowoc, 40 miles away

On a brighter note, my first try at planting seeds is a success so far. All my cucumbers have sprouted!

But only one tomato so far.

65 and sunny in Northern California. I left the UP of Michigan 18.5 years ago and don’t miss the 8 months of winter. When I was a kid I once saw it snow on 4th of July.

And we are down a plow vehicle. And the belt on Dave’s tractor came off and needs replacing. Running to the store to try to find a belt that is close enough. Dave’s got my tj trapped in the garage but we will be squeezing it out. And the rusted out non registered yj has been the good ole reliable ! We crack up every time that thing starts and runs like a top!

Here’s the boat launch we use , usually starting in 3.5 weeks. They say major flooding could be an issue as the winds are ridiculous and pushing lake mi up the rivers and creeks. Which my house in Green Bay is three blocks from the east river .

And for the first time in 18 yrs of govt. employment , the county executive closed county offices for non essential employees tom. Monday. That would be me. Wow.

We had some rain today. Yesterday I was bbq'ing Hey, at least the shop is all done.

Got an ice storm in Ontario, freezing rain or ice pellets all weekend.

That's all ice, not snow, and just the standard of it Saturday morning, it's fun times.

Here's the plowed ice pile from an industrial park driveway. Not the parking lot mind you, just the driveway.

The deck of that trailer is 30ft long and the back is touching the fence

I noticed in the school bus lot next door a bunch of busses got parked with the side door open... Oops, that should be interesting Monday.

Sounds like you need to leave them on for a few more weeks until things warm up a bit....wouldn't risk it with those conditions.

Much of what we initially got was ice, sleet. Then topped it with heavy wet snow. Made for great shoveling. Time to shut down winter and move on!
