I’d hate to have to replace my whole winch line any time the end starts to wear when I could just use a soft shackle that’s easier to stomach replacing

Yup. The only way it's worth that is if you're in a bind in the field and it's the only way out. I'm talkin' the Devil appears out of nowhere and offers you one of these for $500 or a mob that's going to strip your Jeep in a ditch. Even then I'd trust in Jesus and say neither. LOL
Not when anyone can tie a similar end on the rope they already have.
He has a YouBoob channel with about a zillion followers. Whether its a shitty idea or a great idea he will sell so many at that price that he can retire.

when he's pretending to have a difficult time connecting the D ring to the tree saver it reminded me of the idiots that star in ridiculous infomercials that can't do the simplest thing like not burn everything they cook in their 'conventional' pan to a carbonized crisp
the earliest one I can remember was when I was a kid in the 70s, it was the screw in carton spout that you needed because it was impossible to open a carton of milk or orange juice without it exploding all over the kitchen. I remember thinking at the time that has never happened, once, wtf is wrong with these people
