Boosted Technologies vs Magnum Powers Supercharger

@Submarine

I spoke with Charles and Dave, you are gonna have to modify the inner fender on the passenger side to make it fit or have Charles make you a custom special intake to fit it. Dave had this done on one of the jeeps he fit the SC that was high lined.

Hey thanks I appreciate you getting an answer for that. The GR inner fenders are nice but I kinda wish I had just cut up my stock ones. I didn't trust myself with the jigsaw.

You could remove them and practice with some cardboard shape wise and then buy some sheet metal at home depot/ lowes and modify only the parts of the inner fender that the SC would contact. That was my thoughts.

HPT or Sykes tuner for a 2004 Rubicon?

Anyone have more engine bay pictures particularly passenger side? I need to see if there will be clearance for a dual battery mod. I have Genright fenders and inner fenders if that matters.

I'd also like opinions on how these hold up in extreme AZ heat. I like my AC and have a Genright vented hood along with the fender vents. I normally run a 180 deg thermostat in the Summer but this will be the first one with all the Genright goodies so OEM temp may come back. I do not tow but my TJ is pretty heavy so the extra HP would be nice. 4:88 gearing with 35's.

HPTuners. They now support 97-06 TJs (y)

we clearanced the boost bypass to fit around the 14" shock towers and chopped out the inner fenders that are highlined to clear the idler pulley. a body lift without a motor mount lift needs some clearancing as well. I'll be doing another one this week and my lj is getting poison spyder hilines, so we'll have a solution for that soon as well. We just finished up a good tune with UNICHIP for the magnum charger on a stock 05 motor running 10 psi. I'll be getting some more miles put on it soon.

Awesome, cant wait to see that one on Facebook. When do you think you will have that tune available for customers if everything goes well? I should have my MP SC and ARH headers in a month or two.

same tune is going in a brand new motor on wednesday we are installing along with a charger. We are also talking about building some 1 7/8 tube headers to run with the super chargers. they will suck on an naturally aspirated engine but running boost off idle, it can use them.

Thanks Chris for the clarification on the tuners. It has some tune in it already as I can't run anything but 91 octane without throwing misfire codes.

@david I have the standard height fenders but I do have a 1" bodylift and a 1" MML.

I have stock headers and a catback exhaust, I think it's Gibson the PO put in. Are headers going to be mandatory?

What kind of mileage changes? I have the 24.5 Genright tank plus a 2 gas can rack.

I can see in this photo how the dual batteries will be an issue, maybe I should rethink that. Seems like the inner fender would be OK otherwise though.

I have no idea what kind of mileage it'll get. I can't keep my foot off the wood... I guess I'll have to see.

David, I'm in an email conversation with Charles over a used kit purchased here in Rhode Island. He mentioned the Unichip tune seems to be working. Although I'm on the other side of the land mass, Josh Pearl is about 1.5 hour drive for me. Have you mounted the heat exchanger under the tub behind the T-case. Do you have any pictures and possibly templates for bracketry? Going to tackle the install this winter.

just did some research.

This AEM gauage w/ OBDII connector will not work with the wrangler because it is pre 2008 CAN Bus and will not recognize.

Need 30-0300 and wire a serial to USB to connect it to laptop to log data. Verifying @Chris , did you know this? I'd hope to be wrong as it would be so much easier to just hook up and log, haha

OH, and some sweet header porn.

I do not. we've talked about making a bracket to put the heat exchanger water cooler under the rig. I haven't felt the need for one on mine and I'm also know to run deep muddy holes, rocks and brush that could plug it up and damage the cooler.

the Uni-chip piggy back is the best yet of all the guys that have been used for tuning, including one in particular that couldn't figure it out and proceeded to say it's the equipment and not his tuning. we have a base tune that works well with specific plugs, gap, 2.5 bar map and injectors. it's currently being used in 5 rigs. 3 of them are here right now. My LJ will hit the dyno in a couple weeks. there's been no codes aside from a occasional high map voltage on mine when it gets run at 5k.
