Bought a 2006 TJ and odometer doesn't work (code P0501)

I bought this jeep last week and there is a check engine light and the code is p0501. The speedometer doesnt work and the sensor itself looks ok.

Below is the info they had posted when I bought it if it helps at all.

Thanks for any help. Like the jeep has alot done so I have no idea if they unhooked a plug under the hood, or a fuse somewhere or that!

4.0 automatic 111,xxx miles
Remote start
Solid motor mounts
New upgraded aluminum radiator
Metal cloak 3.5" lift
Metal cloak duroflex control arms
Bilstein 5125 shocks
1.25" jks body lift, brown dog mml
Adams driveshafts front and rear w/sye
Gen-Right aluminum fenders/flares
HP Dana 30 front, 4.10's, e-locker
Akebono wj brakes/steering conversion
Ford 8.8 rear, 4.10's, Detroit locker, trussed
New powerstop pads and rotors all around
35x12.50-15 maxxis razor mt's on aluminum 15x10 wheels w/matching spare
Hardtop/doors, soft top w/2-piece soft doors, bikini top
12k badlands winch
New gas tank.

Key on, Engine off.
Disconnect Wheel Speed Sensor.
Test for 5 volts on Yellow/Pink wire.
Test for 5 volts on Dark Blue/Orange wire.
With incandescent test light connected to battery positive, test Dark Blue/Dark Green wire for good ground. Test light should light.

If all that checks out, replace wheel speed sensor.
 
Key on, Engine off.

Ok thx ill test that out tonight
