So without going into too much detail, I was changing my ball joints and bent the upper part of the C knuckle, where the upper BJ goes, upwards. Too many concerns about structural integrity, even if we welded on gussets, and we ultimately decided to swap the axle. I'm going to pick up a Dana 30 with same gears that should be a direct bolt on to swap mine out for. I have a couple questions:

1) Any good guides to follow? As far as I can tell, it's just a matter of taking the other one off and putting this one back on. It should be a direct swap. Most guides I've seen are geared towards upgrades and stuff that I'm simply not doing. This is a repair, not an upgrade. I have all the tools and space needed for the job already.

2) Is my old axle worth anything? It's literally in perfect working order and solid overall condition. The only issue is where we bent up the upper C and then bent it back into place. Right now, it's between 1/16" - 1/8" off in terms of measurements compared to the other side (too wide of a C). I would think someone could make use of it for a shitbox if they want to take the time to reinforce that spot.

3) Any other general tips or tricks to be aware of? I'm going to swap the LCA's at the time I do this cause why not. Otherwise, my goal is to get this done ASAP and back on the road. This was supposed to be a 2 week job and now we're at about a month of down time o_O
