Really is a disgrace that they weren't designed with a front solid axle.
It's appropriate considering Ferd's target demographic of soccer moms and men who prefer form to function.
Funny how the writer of the article makes it sound like solid axles are an obsolete, garbage suspension design and that the only thing keeping them alive is a bunch of old geezers clutching onto the past.
Let me introduce you to the writer:

This just goes to show how silly the world is. I could do everything they do there in my 2006 Honda CRV, and save a crap load of money!

FWIW, I wouldn't look as cool though!

My thought was -

Is this the new side by side?

I think that's part of the appeal.

Turn the little wheel on the dash to mud, snow, sand, rock and the independent front suspension drives nicer at higher speeds with washboard type roads and trails. And handles better in town and on the highway.

New Jeeps will likely follow suit, but they could design the chassis to take either independent or solid axle and make them options.

I did a lot of that sort of stuff in rear and front wheel drive 60s to 80s cars and trucks.

I lived on a gravel road that turned to soup every spring. Just put the hammer down on the high spots, pick a line, and plow through the low spots. That was to get to school.

The weekend school parties were harder to get to at times.

Shows what we will all be seeing out on the trails. You may want to keep your winches and first aid kits handy.

I appreciate the info!

Seems like every bronco video i see... it somewhat struggles on off camber situations... but seems awesome on high speed desert whoops and tracks.

Video wise... I Just cant tolerate youtube vids where they beg for subscribers, use attention grabbing font, people in shot rather than vehicle in shot... etc.

I was watching and kept thinking, " i dont care bout some chick and her family.. get outta the fu$&ing shot" or "30 secs in.. and you're begging for subscriptions?"
