So today was a fun one. I’m waiting for more video, but I’ll post what pics and video my wife took.

Was joined by one other forum member @gbirk. Super nice guy and his daughter is a trooper!!! His Jeep did amazing and the guy can drive!!!!

We didn’t have much trouble. Lost a brake line but @gbirk jumped in and got it handled quick. Some bumpers got hit, but I’ll save the funny part for next.

I’ve been wheeling with these guys for 18+ years. Lots of built rigs in that time but it’s funny how things end up tamer over the years to bring that challenge back. One went pretty mild with a “free” Jeep Liberty he lifted and threw on some 31” BFG MT’s and locked the rear. He jokes if he breaks it, he’s going to sign the title and leave it on the road. Lol.

The other went even more basic. He brought his 2020 Subaru Crosstrek. I’m not kidding, bone stock. We did mild stuff but he lead or hung with us 99% of the day. It was like, why do we have modded 4x4’s at times! 😂 but really, it’s the Indian and not the arrow. He can drive!!!

I’ll post the pics, I can say no Rubicon for me today, took the family and 4Runner and the rear bumper paid for itself 4 times today.

My other buddy in the 4Runner is going to be buying a new rear bumper. Oops.

Fun day had by all!!

I see a Liberty though!

He bombs that thing.

And every shot you see....the damn Subaru was there before or after. And I’m sure some will say but you did easy stuff.....we did but no dirt road wheeling....I challenge anyone to bring a car. 😂

For example. His electronic nannies kept cutting his power...

I’ve had a newer Subaru so I know how it is. Excellent vehicles but I’m not sure I’d use it for those purposes. They are absolute beasts in the snow!

He is t shy about the abuse. 11,000 miles and he will be doing a clutch.

He’s adding a bumper, winch and sliders. And a locker in the rear.

I personally wouldn’t either. But...it was fun and pretty cool to watch. I just couldn’t with a new “car”. I mean, I’m wheeling a expensive SUV....but it has armor and I used it today. I wasn’t popping off plastic parts.

It was a great day out. Beautiful weather, great bunch of guys and gals! @Rubi04 thanks for letting me and my daughter tag along.

As is typical after a day in the woods, I have to go order parts now.

Two weeks. I’ll bring the Rubicon up and try a few harder trailers if anyone wants to join or watch.
