Hi everyone I have been lurking in the shadows kind of quietly the last year on the forum. Working away one expensive piece of wood at a time towards building my LJ I bought a year ago. When I get the building enclosed we can start working on ther Jeep inbetween.

Jeep has basically been sitting on the carport for the last year this is very close to how I bought it sans the hood lights and highlift on the hood that came off soon as I paid the man.

The tdi has a very good running alh in it that I will pull when the shop is done and set up on a run in stand. I have some bucket list trips I want to make in this LJ so I do not think its going in anytime soon.

Looking forward to sharing my trails and tribulations with all of you .

PS Brown Santa has been pissing off my wife the last year and she wants her living room back its full of jeep parts like shafts locker truetrac lots of aluminum goodies , hell its like a jeep porn shop !

I am still around my jeep family. Between having the coof 2 separate times and my best friend ( my father ) passed away 8 weeks ago there has not been alot of traction on my projects at the house. I stopped being a turd last week and looked what followed me home on a recent trip for me to visit my mom and sister.

Thats a 2004 BHW tdi passat motor 139k miles. Damn things are getting as rare as my LJ.

Ill be around here more still finishing up the shop .

I have all the goodies to make the LJ go now with the 4.0l

Will give an update with goodies when I have more time.

Cheers

I’d love to seem more pictures of your shop build. Also looking forward to your swap.

We had an 04 Passat TDI we special ordered new. It ran like a champ for 170k till we sold it. All I ever did was replace the turbo and delete the balance shaft.

Look into that balance shaft delete, it would be a good thing to do when you have it out.

Definately doing the balance shaft delete.

going to get the jeep on road before the swap

The plan right now is I have hired a contractor that I have used in the past to help me finish up my shop and install the 2nd floor which has 2 elevations
( think room for the 12k lbs lift in one bay )
Than buying a spray foam machine I have been following called the LIL PUP from mixn equipment to spray the foam in as I do the electrical .

That last pic is all lj parts on that rack

Ill be framing the garage door opening this week and post more barn pics for my Tennesee peoples

Ill try to find the pics of the shop that was on here when we bought the place . Upper Management ( The Ball And Chain ) ( The Nonbeliever Of Jeep Parts Are More Important Than Date Night At A 200$ Resturant ) got her pool and 12 Ft trey ceiling in the great room and walk in tile shower and I GOT A FREAKING LAWNMOWER SHED !!!!!!! WT FLYING F !!!!

So I might have went a little overboard but I have never heard anyone say " I built my shop to big bro ..... you wanna work on your junk in mine ?"

I'm so jealous of you people who have flat lots to build stuff on. I'd have to spend over 20 grand on grading and retaining walls before I could even thing about building something like that.
