Can you put down or drop your soft cover top on a tj 2000 with a Bestop 4144401 Universal Tray for Modular Rack System?​

Should be able to, I do not see how that would hinder the folding mechanism or where it rests when folded down.

Only thing I can see being an issue is if its mounted with their Bestop 4141101 Tailgate Rack Bracket. But that would only be an issue if you do not swing the tailgate out while lowering the top.

Hello! Shawna from Bestop here! Yes, you can fully function your top with that tray. Since it connects to the spare tire area, you can actually use your tailgate as well! Hope this helps!

What if it’s the tray with the brackets that mount it to the roll bars?

I think the top will go down on mine (never tried it though), not sure on the regular TJ.

Gotcha! From what I can tell, even with the mods you made, your top would be fully converted without any issues. You may need to tuck the fabric past the rack to get it to lower all the way, but it should not impede the use in any way.
