Car pics too cool not to share

Seem like the soybean-plastic would have been a good steel saver in things like ammo cans and other storage units.

I would think that there'd be the risk of rodents doing to that material what rust does to sheet metal. Think of the soybean-based insulation on some of the Asian imports that the rodents love to chew on. My friend had her almost new Toyota damaged (to the tune of almost $3,000) by rodents eating the wiring insulation. Anyways, just a thought.

One article claims that they were made from a chemical formula that, among many other ingredients, included soybeans, wheat, hemp, flax and ramie;

My thoughts immediately went to the "Up In Smoke" movie...

I don't know how that plant based van slipped my memory. Must still be a foggy part in my head. :sneaky: The border crossing scene has always been one of my favorites.

Cop; how long you boys been in Mexico?
Cheech; a week, I mean a d-d-day.
Cop; which one is it, a week or a day?
Cheech; a weekday.

Clarkson has always had a way with words. :ROFLMAO:

Clarkson, Hammond and May have always been entertaining to me. I haven't watched a Top Gear without them.

They truly were the best, weren't they? Each one was equally entertaining, in decidedly different fashions. Their road trips were always my favorite episodes.

I love the exchanges.

"Thought so."
"What?"
"A rev counter."
"Yes?"
"You decadent capitalist pig. Ownership of a rev counter is theft."
"This is the color of a prosthetic limb!"
"You've got wipers on your headlights!"
"They don't work!"
"That's not the point, it's aspirational!"

😀

I have a colleague at work who had that exact year and color, totally stock except the rust holes in every panel. A running/driving rig but also a total pile. He finally sold it for $5000. I think it was listed for about 12 hours.

TLC's like many other things have skyrocketed in value...
