Seem like the soybean-plastic would have been a good steel saver in things like ammo cans and other storage units.
I would think that there'd be the risk of rodents doing to that material what rust does to sheet metal. Think of the soybean-based insulation on some of the Asian imports that the rodents love to chew on. My friend had her almost new Toyota damaged (to the tune of almost $3,000) by rodents eating the wiring insulation. Anyways, just a thought.
