With those stock wheel wells, which mall parking lot is going to host the party?
I'd drive the hell out of it... might even take off-road a little bit too...

While not necessarily a Sally fan and I wouldn't suggest the movie was good, she did fill out her Levi's rather well in Murphy's Romance...
I've never heard of that one. Hell, you could have told me she was only in the Bandit movies and I would have believed you.
This is one of my favorite scenes from Smokey and the Bandit. At some point around here she turns around, looks at the speedometer and says "are we really going 110!?", but a shot of the speedometer clearly shows the car running 55-60.

Well yes I have but at least a couple of them were just a couple feet higher than the ditch that was a good 6 ft lower than the road.
FWIW I had a friend miss a tight curve on a snowy night and fly his (Gran?) Torino a good 50 to 75 ft into the field before landing. he called his dad to come help him out because he accidently slid off the road. Seeing that footprints were the only marks in the snow between the Torino and the road his dad wasn't buying that $hi+. I wish I had a picture of that but we're all pretty lucky there was no digital records in the early 80s.
Parked next to this at the neighborhood pool.
So today, my dad and our buddy decided to take the Mercury out for it's first shakedown cruise. It was a short one, and I got the call. Over the last 12 months, 3 of his cars have been made streetable. As of today, I've had to rescue him 3 times, once in each car. Funny enough, they're all Fords, but I don't know if it's fair to draw conclusions or not since none of his GMs run. 
Also, our buddy found a new pin stripe/graphics guy who did his mail box for him.

No offense to your buddy, but I think maybe a bit quick to focus on the brand here. I mean, common badge aside, they also have a Steve in common...
When you rebuild cars, sometimes they have teething issues. Hell, even the big three didn't get it right on every unit out the door.
