And the 59 tail lights may have had something to do with UPS using Oldsmobile Alero headlights:

Most people refer to them as "cat eyes", but I can see alien eyes, especially with led lights.

Oh yeah I can see the cat eyes. It's the little 3 trim lines in the taillights that makes think more alien.
Those fins are not joke though. If made today they would need these.
