Catalytic Converter Sale

Been talking about it since July 2 on the forum.

The 3 cat setup started in 2000 with the California emissions systems. The kit says for '04+ because, in my opinion, the '04+ has a slip joint at the 3rd cat where the 00-03 has a flange. The exhaust manifold for the 2000+ with 3 cats is the same for the 2000+ years and so is the cat back exhaust systems for the 97+. I have one of these kits setting in my garage to go on my 2000 w/ California emissions when I get time. From what I've looked at, it should be a bolt on to my 2000.

Wish I had seen that, going to see if Holley has shipped mine tomorrow, and will order off Amazon if not!

I don’t need one, but my cats and exhaust are original. Is this one of those things to buy at this price and stick in the garage since I’ll need eventually?

Absolutely is. Mine are the original cats as well but I'm going to swap this in in the next couple of weeks just as a precaution. I'm sure they are partially plugged at 205k miles. I know you've got a lot less miles.

And should be direct fit on an 02?

From laying mine out and looking at my 2000, I think it will be. The only thing I can see different is my 2000 has a flange at the end of the y-pipe instead of a slip joint the Flowmaster set up has.

Holley was great about me canceling the order. Ordered up the Amazon one!
And in the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" vein, Holley just sent me a further price reduction email this morning:

I already bought one to keep as a spare at the cheap Amazon price. I'm thinking of buying a second spare because this pricing seems to me like they will be discontinuing them after selling out. Even if I never use it, it would likely hold its value or even increase in value. 🤷‍♂️

Edited to add: That's a free shipping deal, too.

I'm still seeing 282 on Holly and 220 on amazon.

My cats are good, but my muffler with the Chrysler emblem on it is getting some pretty good random holes. So I’m figuring sooner than later I’m replacing some exhaust parts. 205,000 miles and going strong. My favorite ride out of a 2020 Ram and the wife’s 2019 Audi. Live long Jeep 👊🏼

Last time I replaced my cats I got about $100 for my third cat so this will be a pretty cheap set of pre-cats! I have a set of pre-cats (which I got for around the same price as these) with about a yr of driving on them so I'll be set for a while with these as a spare!
