CB Radio Channel

I have yet to hear of one. I think each group of guys just agrees on a channel before they go out.

The loggers around here usually use channel 17, or post the channel they're usin on the mainline close to their operations.
Was a logger for 43 years ...... :)
The mainline will usually have a posted channel and mile/kilometer call points ..... eg. "mile 7 down" ...... "kilometer 4 up" ...... etc.
If using these industrial roads ... pay attention to the call points and call your position, stay off the channel with your 'chit-chat', and heavy traffic always has the 'right of way' .....
Choose a channel with your travelling buddies ..... listen more than talk ....
Be safe, and have fun!

Yup, well said. You WILL loose any argument with a loaded log truck, and they DO take up the whole road (and then some).

As an aside here, somebody's been pulling three and four log loads out of the hills around here lately. Haven't seen that in awhile, and didn't know that there were any local mills around that could still handle logs that big. Nice to see though. Good looking timber.

Weyerhaeuser runs something similar, but never got close enough to see who made them. That's all private forest land and verboten to travel on.

Hi..i am a new user here. I want to know about this radio channel. What frequency it has and what type of radio hardware it needs? Any specifications more for this channel.

Rish, I think we've determined that there is no "designated" channel for four wheelers. However there are those that claim to use channels 16 and sometimes 4. Most radios that I see associated with keeps is the Uniden 510 or 520. Great radio by the way. I'd like to see jeepers scan and chat on a CB like we did in the old days. I keep mine on 16 hoping to catch some chitchat but so far I haven't pick up anyone talking in my neck of the woods.

Get one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004VXNI/?tag=wranglerorg-20

It's widely considered one of the best CB radio options out there.

You'll also need a nice antenna like this one:

Some cable like this:

One of these:

A way to mount the radio (this is one popular option):
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004IA5BQQ/?tag=wranglerorg-20

And a mount for the antenna:

That's the exact same setup I use and I love it!
