Changing steering linkages after an upgrade

Howdy!

A couple years ago I purchased an "upgraded" front steering setup - the Steinjager crossover steering kit. It is strong and no issues with that, but I regret going that route because of the hiem joints. They don't last very long and it causes really sloppy steering.

Now I'm wanting to go back to a more traditional setup - like the Currie Correctlync or Rubicon Express. The issue I have is that I had to drill out my hubs and the pitman arm for the bolts holding on the Steinjager setup.

So, am I stuck now having to buy new hubs and a pitman arm, or can someone recommend another course of action? I'm still going to run the Steinjager system for now, but want to change it over for safety reasons as soon as I can.

They make taperd inserts to repair some of that. ZJ steering is what I'd go to, not many people need anything stronger. You could replace the carriers and the pitman arm but if the holes aren't too big you might be fine. If you measure what you've got or post pictures somebody like Blaine with direct experience might be able to help on what are the best inserts and what's safe to use.

I believe I drilled out the holes to 5/8" for the bolts being used. I can post up pictures if needed. I don't mind moving to ZJ steering. I have a 3" lift on it. 2004 TJ Rubicon.
