Check out these little clones

They bought the rights to use the old press plates from the early jeep. They kind of have the nod from Jeep to produce them. I like them but they're still too much money for a non street legal rig. Hell, you can street some of the side by sides.

Far from being a poser, the Roxor is an offshoot of the original CJ lineage and is about as close as you can get to being a real Jeep without being one.

Hate to say it but it's more of a "real Jeep" than any thing made after 1979 ( well ,1980 to 1986 also). The end of the CJ line was really the end of real Jeeps in my opinion.

Do I want another CJ ? Nope, had 3 of them. But up to 1979 especially , they really still had roots back to the late 1940s. Dana 20 t cases ( direct descendant of the dana 18), 3 speed manual trans, no ac, etc.

Is the Roxor a CJ? No, but it's a hell of a lot closer than a Tj.
