Chirping heat; A/C blower motor?

When I turn my heat on to the first fan position I hear a chirping sound for about a minute or so. It goes away after 30 seconds or so. It only does this on the lowest fan blower setting. I figured it to be a blower motor that most likely will need to be replaced in the future. The part I'm confused about is that now with the heat or a/c off it will chirp when I hit a bump in the road? Sounds like a cricket chirp for a second when I hit the bump and then it goes right away. Any ideas what this may be and what to look for. It seems to be comig from the passengers side behind or around the glove box area. I can see it chirping with the fan on but not with it off...strange?

Sounds like it's a bad blower motor, or more likely the bearing in the blower motor. When it gets warmed up it functions good enough that the noise goes away, but when you hit a bump it jars the bearing and makes it start chirping again.

That would be my best guess.

Thanks...Kinda what I figured but the puzzling part was when it chirpes while the climate control is in the off position. Maybe a bump jars the bearing or motor enough to spin it and make it chirp for a second.

This has been happening to me too until I realized that it was leaves getting into my blower motor and throwing it off balance.

Poke your head into your passenger floor board, grab the bottom of the blower motor (it's the big round thing to the right of the light bulb), and twist it out as if it was a screw - lefty loosey. It'll pop right out. Then look and see if there are any leaves in it.

I had to replace mine, because even after I took the leaves out, the chirping didn't go away (I guess the leaves permanently messed it up). I also sealed the gaps in my cowl intake completely (the little mesh grill below your windshield) with a thin piece of sheet metal shaped like a 'dam'; so that no more leaves could ever get into my air intake.

I had the same noise. Thought about replacing the blower motor, but figured out it was leaves and pine straw. Made noise for 6 months before I pulled it out. Turns out to be a 10 minute fix... six months of that racket for nothing

Mine chirps when I turn left, and only when I turn left. Good thing I'm not a Nascar driver, lol. I'll try pulling the motor to see if there's any crap in it.

Just pulled mine due to a consistent annoying chirping, turned out it was caked with dust. A quick tooth brush cleanup brought it back to smooth and silent! Thanks for the tips!
