So I recently purchased this TJ and have started noticing a clicking/grinding noise coming from the driver rear area. I decided I would do the rear wheel bearings for maintenance purposes. While doing them I checked over the pinion and ring gear and also checked over the spider gears as well. No signs of excessive visual wear and no metal shavings in the fluid. Anyways I replaced the wheel bearings got everything back together and it is still making the noise.
The jeep only makes the noise after it has been driven for about 20 minutes and only does it when the clutch is engaged at slow speeds while turning.
Any advice or ideas on what it could be are greatly appreciated, thanks! I’ll try to attach a video of the noise, let me know if you can see the video!
