Anyone know the best way to test a coil pack ?
Got an 03 tj 4.0 , with a misfire on #1 ,
My problems started when I was on holidays and the clutch gave out .
Shortly after getting it replaced , I got a rough idle ,then camshalf sensor, misfires on multiple cylinders.
Did some checking and found battery cables were loose. Got them tighten up all the misfires but #1 went away , got a cam sensor, checked the position of crank, installed the sensor , that part all works (cam code is gone ) just left with a misfires on #1,
Anyone got any ideas ?

I don’t know how to test the coil pack (am anxious for somebody to drop some knowledge), but I would at least start by swapping the #1 spark plug with another cylinder to see if it moves.

Have done that , no change

Welp, then it's either not plug related OR the situation is sporadic enough that the offending situation hasn't resurfaced again yet. I have an intermittent P0301 that comes and goes. Diagnostics take forever because I need to wait a random amount of time for it to happen again and see if whatever test I was performing actually told me anything....and if I can even remember what test I was performing after that much time passed.

I used the setup below when I was diagnosing my P0303 code.

05. Plug it into the coil and ground the fake plug. Plug into coil and connect to plug to test plug. My P0303 code was caused by a failed plug.
