I'vs been in Colorado for 2 weeks. I have to admitt that I have not missed the sunny south. Several of the major mountain passes are closed, but there is still plenty to do. Pictures say it best.

I'd love to do that sometimes. The past week has been spent with a group of East Coast wheeling friends. We have been headquarted in Gunnison. Tomorrow I am moving to Delores. I'll wheel a little down there, but it will be on weekdays and will probably be half days. If you plan to go down that way, send me an email - andy1126526. Maybe we could do sometning stupid together. 😁

I was supposed to be down there this week for vacation. Incredibly bummed that I am not there right now

That far out in the state is hard for the short notice, but I am sure you are going to have a blast. I can't wait until my early Sept trip down to the San Juans. Please share more pictures :D

We moved to a campground near Rico, CO. It’s a nice place but internet is poor. My wife and I have been wheeling up a storm. Engineer, Imogene, Ophir, and Bolam Passes in the past week. We ate lunch one day in Ouray. I love the town. We will stay there next time. We were able to go half way up Black Bear Pass from Telluride. The top is still closed. Colorado - it rocks!

Did Imogene today. It was insanely fun. I will say it was my first real 4low wheeling trip. Came up from Telluride and back down the same way.

I'm on the way home from Colorado. I have tons of photos. I'll share some from Imogene Pass today.

Meeting a tour truck on a shelf road. It's not that bad.

Guys and Gals, I have movies posted on facebook on group page. Search for Wheeling in the Smokys and Around the Country

Made it home. I'm missing Colorado. It's really hot here in South Carolina. Here's a few more pictures.

Ophir Pass is one of the easier rides in the San Juan Mountains. Still, this long drive on loose rock (Scree field) is kinda of exciting.

The first day riding in the San Juans was from Gunnison. We drove to lake City and took Cinnamon Pass to Animas Fork. When we got to Animas Fork, it was crowded, and many of the wheelers there were going up Engineer Pass. I decided to head out to US550 via California, Hurricane, and Corksscrew Passes. It was a good choice. This film clip is going down towards Ouray (your-ay) from Corkscrew Pass. I set the clip to music so youse guys wouldn't have to listen to my wife coaching me in the switchbacks. She got excited a couple of times, especially when I went to neutral instead of reverse on a 3 point turn. :)

Here is a video from the same day. We caught another group of Jeeper going towards Ouray on Corkscrew Gulch. You can really see the avalanche damage in this video.
