I am currently fitting an ARB compressor. I am rubbish with wiring and would like a quick bit of help. The supplied loom includes two loose wires at the switch end, the instructions say to splice one of these onto a live supply to an accessory / cigarette lighter and splice the other into the "...active illumination supply wire." Rather than splicing I wonder if I can use a 'fuse tap' to make a 'piggyback' connection at the fuse? If this is OK I guess I can use the cigarette lighter fuse for the first wire, but which fuse should I use for the illumination supply? The "headlamp aim sw" fuse or something else?
