Hello all!

Figured I would post this here first. I have been considering selling my 2000 TJ Sport 5 speed with full metal doors and hardtop and wanted to put some feelers out there about the Jeep. The vehicle is in exceptional mechanical condition. I live in Steamboat Springs, CO and was lucky enough to find a local single owner 33k ish miles Jeep in June of 21. The owners built a second home here and bought it new at the local dealer. It was kept in a heated garage and meticulously serviced. The prior owner builds airplanes for fun so well cared for to say the least. All the fenders and bumpers are original if that gives you any sense of the condition.

Since I purchased it, I have gone through it extensively updating all key parts like plugs etc. The vehicle is in exceptional mechanical condition with no leaks whatsoever. The interior and exterior are excellent. The exterior does have rock chips, but the paint condition overall is great. I bought about $800 of detailing equipment from auto geek and did paint correction detailing. On the inside, I stripped everything out and deep cleaned it. The carpets are original and the seats are like new. I ordered custom Bartact seat covers with red stitching to make it look more sleek. The frame and underbody are great. I put in a new Alpine and JL audio system. I have all the original radio parts which are perfect. I also put new 31x10.50 BFG KO2s on it along with a new tire mount to hold the 31s. KC daylights headlights and aux lights along with new stainless rings on the headlamps. I have the original brake light as well as I put a round one in the tire. Two options that are not on the vehicle are a 44 axle and AC. Out here, you don't need AC so it hasn't been something I cared for and less likely to break. I had a 99 TJ Sport in college with an AC that constantly needed work.

Overall, I love the Jeep a ton and had shopped for one like this for over a year. The car is generally only driven for fun and on occasion to the airport here as I travel for work a lot. We are essentially a 1 car household and I feel like I need to get a daily driver due to extensive travel for work. This Jeep is a head turner. I am still figuring out the price given condition and history. I am also struggling to list it and figured I would see if anyone here or a friend was looking for a factory like wrangler. Message me if you are interested. I put a few shots showing the condition. Lots more to share here, but will stop for brevity. Love jeeps and have owned 3 since 2000.

Nice Jeep

Your paint correction work is exceptional.

A discerning buyer will be glad to find that one. I’m not going to suggest a price, but I would watch the market and be on the high end of comparable jeeps.

We have a for sale forum you can post it on also.

Yea, and that surface rust on the front (rear) lower control arm mount is gonna hurt the value to the rust phobes.

I know what you are seeing there. It’s not rust actually. It’s caked on dirt from fire roads. The frame is immaculate - look at the front frame. I have been meaning to spend cleaning it off.

that's about as good as it gets

Thank you! I agree. In shopping for a low miles TJ, I actually took a flight to MN to buy one, but the buyer misrepresented the vehicle condition. I am super picky. I essentially gave up after over a year of looking and then one day, in my own town this popped up on marketplace with blurry pics and little description.

Having a hard time listing it.
I listed and then backed out of selling my Rubicon several times before I actually let it go. I hated to sell it but had lost my job. Luckily the guy I sold it to, asked me if I wanted it back after 2 years because it just sat in his garage. He sold it back to me for $5,000 less too.

I was thinking about just buying the paint from you. 🤣
