I couldn't find this being discussed, apologies if it has.

I am in the market for a cordless sawzall. I don't care about price I have already spent a couple hundred on inferior ones with no battery staying power.

I want something that lasts more than 1 cut.

...and a battery starter pack.

One 5ah battery and one blade was enough to chop out these frame sections. That means 8 control arms, 4 frame cuts, 4 step mounts and 2 control arm mounts in less than 20 minutes.

The saw referenced above is very likely all the saw you will ever need and then some. It is a full blown beast of a saw that does everything asked of it and then some. I have two. One is new in the drawer because the first time I pulled the trigger on the first one, I went and bought another one exactly like it because I don't want to be without a saw with that much horsepower.

Having used this, all I can say is yep - it's on my short list to buy.

Iffen you'd stop using that thing with those shitty batteries and get one or two of the High Output 8.0AH versions, you'd realize how much power you're leaving on the table. You are basically using my flashlight battery for that saw.

If it's already this good with the little batteries, then...

The Milwaukee is good... I have one.

Also try a Hilti if you are looking for commercial grade performance.

I have 2 Makita 18vx2 (36v) sawzalls. Even building, I often go all day with 1 pair of 5ah batteries

If you go with Milwaukee make sure to get it from an authorized dealer so you get the full warranty.

i have the Milwaukee M18, but NOT the fuel (brushless) version. My wife used it to cut down little trees for a couple hours the other weekend, with just a 3.0 battery. I'm sure a 5.0 or an 8.0 would be great, and the Fuel would last even longer.

I hate it when I have to leave the cat hanging there due to an inferior sawzall! :ROFLMAO:

I've been super happy with this. I use all cordless DeWalt, so I have a million batteries and never run out of juice. It's great for most everything, but not as powerful as my corded DeWalt sawzall which I grab for thicker metal.

Nothing worse than laying on your back under a prius at the shopping mall and not having enough battery
