I would like to share my TJ.. I bought it last year on february, a month before Covid-19 outbreak...

Have been a year and my TJ have become a better jeep.

Now I am wondering:

1. Should I sell to buy a 4.0cc and start over.
2. Should I install a 4.0cc on this TJ
3. Forget about 4.0cc and look for a V8.

Both picture February 2020 vs February 2021

I'd start by asking how much money do you have to spend?

If you've got $15,000 plus, swap in a V8.

If you don't, I would sell it and get a 4.0 (y)

Buen TJ! Naci en Costa Rica, es bueno ver algo de accion en Jeep alli.

Looks like you've done a lot of work to it & the picture proves it.

What is it that you feel is lacking with the 4 cylinder engine? There are lots of people on here who have that engine & are very happy with it. Not trying to talk you out of changing the engine, but from what I've read the right combination of tires and gears can make that engine feel almost the same as the 6 cylinder.

Stay with the 4-cylinder.

That make everything clear... Probably in the future, right now I will stay with my 2.4cc project.

Nice bro!!!

Not really! I am quite fine with the 4 cylinder. And actually on next monday I will received the car from the upgrade in differential. So I know it will be even better than before... The questions here was more to evaluate future options.

But for the use here in Guanacaste, 4 cylinder is more than enough...

What gear ratio are you installing?
