Hi guys,

I'm wanting to run 33x12.5x17 BFG KM3 MT's on my 2001 TJ with 4" lift. I currently have 17x7.5" JK wheels with adapters and 265/70/17s. If I ditch the adapters and go back to the original bolt pattern of 5 on 4.5" wheels, do I want to run 17x8 or 17x9 and what backspacing?

I like these wheels a lot, but they only come in 5 on 5 (JK) bolt pattern:

Will these work if I keep the adapters that i'm currently running for the JK wheels? (I think they are 1.25-1.5" thick) Not sure how the spacing would come out. Any tips on which wheels (backspacing etc...) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

Do the math...you want to end up somewhere around 4" total backspacing. A lot of guys run 3.75" BS...
That's pretty close to what I was figuring. Looks like if I go with those MT wheels and adapters its going to be more like 3" BS. Wonder if that would stick out too far? Thanks!

Probably. It will screw up your scrub radius too, put extra stress on the bearings and ball joints, etc.
