Those come up as 3.3l caravan injectors. 20.9 lb at 3 bar(43.5psi)

Your stock blue tips are 22.5 lb at 3 bar

Stock 97-04 fuel pressure is 49psi so it makes comparing injectors tough.

The right ones for your 4.0l would have been 0280155784 injectors. 22.7lb at 3 bar

What was you afr gauge reading during the pop and crack?

AFR, when not jumping around, typically settles just below 15. This was before and after the injector swap. Whatever bad that was happening, was occurring elsewhere in the chaos of fuel ratios while driving. I have also been monitoring the O2 sensors during all of this and I can't make sense of anything other than that they are doing stuff.

Fuel trim strategy with narrow band sensors is for the PCM to constantly oscillate between rich and lean, so the sensors make wide swings from just above 0V to about 1V constantly. This is for the upstream sensors. The downstream sensors aren't used in fuel trim strategy - only for emissions checks (making sure the cats are working).

So far, there are no CELs or pending faults. And everything seems to running normally.

The first big drive at 75mph happened on the way home today. This is a very different Jeep on the highway.

This 15 minute stretch of road has several prolonged hill climbs that in the past would initiate a downshift and gradual slowdown until the hill crest where the speed would quickly pickup.

Today with cruise control on 75mph, there was no hesitation whatsoever, no downshifting, and no loss of speed. It was alarming because this vehicle didn't used to do that here. Now it just goes. And with the good shocks and good steering, the driving is very calm, controlled, and effortless. All despite being a lifted Jeep on 35s.

Boost hit 8psi a few times, engine temps never exceeded 206F. Intake was fairly steady around 150F. The meth/water was reaching full volume.

And like all prior drives, the transition into boost is smooth, seamless and invisible. The only indication something is happening is the low whine of the supercharger that increases a bit on the harder pulls.

Its interesting to read all the different accounts of the boostedtec supercharger. Some people like em, seems like you do. Others say they are garbage. I think @toximus never got his quite right and ran into issues of support, no?

It's even more interesting once you realize that it's exactly the same supercharger. 😉 Different engine...

On the way into work this morning, I caught up to a group of ricer cars farting through downtown. I turned on the rock lights and started racing them off the red lights. They quickly caught on and played along. I have no idea if they were quicker or not. But equally fun for me was my late braking long after they would slow down to avoid a crash or running the next red light.

My Jeep is a menace!
