Dana 35 e-locker c-clips

Been all over the destructions... YouTube...called Revolution... can't get a hold of Eaton...no room to install the c clips without removing the center pin...on a factory carrier you remove a bolt and it drops out.

Do I need to drive the pin out with a brass punch? How does it come out?

If it's not the usual threaded bolt yes just drive the roll pin out with a punch and hammer.

I finally got ahold of Eaton...90 degrees to the pin is a half pin held in with a snap ring. Remove the snap ring, roll the dif, the pin falls out...the end is keyed...like a flat blade screwdriver...which engages the middle of the pin running through. That pin falls out when rotated...axles in a touch...c clips in through the portal...axles back out...took a couple of tries to get the spiders rolled into the right spot for the pins...main pin in, followed by the keyed half pin...then snap ring and done!

P.S. I stumped Eaton tech support...they had to call an engineer for an explanation...the manual just says "install c clips."
