Bonus pic of my broken pinon gear, not really sure what happened, was just driving normally on road and started to notice a loud hum under acceleration.

This where people tend to call it good and move on. Especially shops. This is a runnable pattern, HOWEVER, it can be better. This is where a 1 thou change can make a difference. If you can pull 1 thou, great. If not, leave it as is. Either way, I would try to open the backlash up a couple thou.
