Howdy,
Does anyone have specs on the safe operating range for the Dana 35 diff? I know there are many factors to consider that impact the temperature so that’s why I’m looking for a range.

Thanks

PS. I feel your condolences for me having a Dana 35 rear DIff. No worries I live in California so I’m used to living with low end items such as 10 round magazines, etc.

Not sure what you mean. I wheel when it's 110 outside, in low range with a lot of axle spin and diff temps is never something I have ever been concerned about.

I gave it a quick check for fun on the case after a three hour ride and it was at 170 degrees. Without specs I don’t know if that is In a normal range or not.

I know on my Dana 44 after a long drive, I can lay a flat hand on the cover and keep it there, but it is uncomfortable.

I suspect your's is fine.
