Helping a friend with finding out where to go next.

He has dana 44 HP (ford)
with calipers from 72 chevy 1/2 ton.
outer axle IFS bronco 1980-1996
f150 1/2 ton " "
outer spindle 1980-1992 ford bronco spicer # 707178x

GM flat top knuckles

GM solid flat plate caliper mount1973-1976

Problem is with rotor and calipers not able to be mounted in place he cannot get calipers on.

He did cut the rotors down but cannot cut down anymore.

Someone said cut the face of the shoe down but not the right way to do it.

He purchased the axle all set up but did not have rotors and calipers.

Has anyone heard of this setup of parts and what would he need to get it fitted with brake components

Thank you

I'm not sure why he is having issues.

I have a HP44 Ford axle.

I used Chevy backing plates & Chevy calipers with Ford rotors. I'll try to find part numbers but I'm not 100% sure I have them for all the parts I used. I bought a drum to disc conversion kit off Ebay but this was in 2005 that I bought it.
