Dana factory gear marking

I've purchased some used 4.10 gears for my tj. They are factory installed in a 4 cyl I guess. My question is is there a way to know what the markings on the pinion gear means. I assume shims used or something related to pinion Depth? Any help would be appreciated

Any chance you can return them? Setting up used gears is difficult since they've been lapped already for X amount of miles. Not an easy feat. New you can set up to the best pattern, break them in and your good to go.

I know... I basically got them for the cost of a used carrier which I needed because I'm swapping from 3.07s.

Has to do with depth settings. Disregard them. Start with the original depth and go from there.
