We all have issues with the plastic grid getting brittle and breaking. I tried to epoxy mine in. It held for a bit and then just broke again.

Picked one of these up on ebay. It's 3D printed so not fancy but works well. Not sure how it'll work this winter when defrosting but might work better than the factory grid to direct the air over the glass.

That doesn't suck!
Being ABS it may just last longer than the rest of the dash!
I have seen another "fix" that placed a "screen" on the underside of that trim piece, but this looks much cleaner.

I got mine. Cut the grid out and this snapped right in. It's 3D printed so not super precision made but I have no issues with it. Looks factory to me. FAR better than the plastic grid. It was a worthwhile purchase. Looking forward to seeing how well it defrosts/defogs this winter.

I think if I pull and glue this in it's going to provide good support for the thin part with the snap that secured it to the dash and work as a nice vent. Not a bad find. Seller said it takes 5.5 hours to print one out of ABS plastic.

I don't need one... yet! but I saved it to my list for the future.
I can't really tell what color it is, but I would want it to be matte black.

Now I'll obviously have to learn how to paint ABS.
Maybe this is a good application for this:

Random question... can you reach the screws to remove the front of dash (stereo access) without popping that out? I have an after market cage that lays over my current vent. It's PITA if I need to access to anything.
