I was looking for that information to post because I had seen it when I bought my cooler but I couldn't find it again yesterday. So I'm glad you found that info and posted it.
At least in the beginning I'm going to bypass my radiator cooler and just use this one and see how it goes. It seems like it should work well.
Small amount of work today. Welded in the upstream O2 sensor bungs and started some mock up on the 3" tailpipe. I think it'll be able to fit, but it'll be tight. Get back to it on Sunday...

WOW that turned out really nice. I've got to get the 4 link suspension hooked back up on mine and see if I can snake the 3" exhaust towards the rear or if I'll have to just use a turn down after the muffler.
Ok, been a while.
Didn't have any time the last 2 weekends to work on the Jeep between work and family things, but did get to work in it most of yesterday and a good part of today. I sat a goal for myself on what I wanted to have done by the end of this weekend.
Mission accomplished.😁
Some shots of the chassis for the last time before I set the body back on for I hope the last time.
I ended up wrapping part of the exhaust on the driver side that passes very close under the transmission to try and cut down on transferring any more heat to the transmission.
That was yesterday.
Today I put the body back on and finished hooking up the remaining electrical connections between the chassis and body. Installed the new gas pedal, transmission cooler lines and filled the oil and transmission fluid, going to hold off on coolant just in case...
Then I checked checked checked and rechecked all the fittings and connections that I could, crossed my fingers and........................
IT'S ALIVE...!!!!
Cranked it over for a while with the fuel pump relay pulled to prelube the motor. Then shortly after that, well you'll see...
only let it run a few seconds a few times because of no coolant.
So, got this far today and decided to call that a win and close shop for the night..

Wow Like WOW that turned out really nice. Good work on the exhaust. I will say again how much I wished I had a hoist to lift my body off with. But it does give me some ideas of what I might try on mine.
Nice exhaust note. Do you know why the check engine light is on? And the check gauges light?

I would guess the check engine light is on because I don't have the evap system and IAT sensor hooked up and a few vacuum hoses are open.
I think the "Check Gages" light is because I don't have any coolant in it and the temp gauge isn't reading anything.
I'm not concerned with either one at this moment, I'll see what happens when I get everything hooked up properly and go from there.
It could always be I have missed plugging something in in oversight.
I do feel blessed to have the lift. Had been saving up for 30 plus years for my building and wares.
The Amazon man paid a visit this evening, so had to go put it on..

I doubt the check gauges light is due to the coolant as if it was then it'd come on when you start the rig every time until it's warm. I was just curious as to why but figured you'd be on it and would correct them ASAP. Believe me I know all about not getting stuff hooked up and having those lights on. It is still turning out really nice and it's nice to see more Hemi swaps.
What brand are your band clamps? The ones I've been getting aren't working & are POS.
If I knew then what I know now I'd have gotten my garage built with a taller roof so I could have installed a lift.
Watch it coming down off rocks or ledges.
Took us about an hour to get it opened back up enough for the engine to run.
Granted you don't have that issue.
I was only going by what I remember seeing in the owners manual that if any of the gages go too far out the "Check Gages" light comes on to alert you something needs attention.
The band clamps are from Amazon Evil Energy brand. The clamps themselves are great, but the bolts were soft and bent and stretched so I replaced them with grade 8. Made all the difference, they clamp up nice and tight.
Yeah, that tip definitely reduces the angle of descent, so it will slip right off with one bolt clamp.
You can see in the video how short it is with the extension removed.

It took me a while to get use to my "Check Gauges" light & beep for stuff. I don't remember if it comes on for low fuel or if just the low fuel light & beep happen. I'm sure once you get stuff hooked up more it will help. I'm still chasing my check engine light for a transmission code that I'm hoping will clear up once I can run it long enough to run it thru the gears and check fluid levels.
I don't remember what brand I have but I thought they were Evil Energy. I have used their AN fittings a lot on my build.
Look forward to seeing more progress.

It's been a dream of mine for many years to do this. I thought the same thing but never gave completely up, it just took a while to be able.
Very nice job! Your exhaust looks a lot like mine except for our muffler choice. A great amount of effort that is paying off nicely…

I'm hoping that it'll be as fun as I'm thinking it will be.
I've really enjoyed doing the conversion. Other than Hotwire doing a great job on the harnesses, I've done 100% of this by myself lone Wolf style. You know how it is, everyone is busy and has their own things going on. There were a few times it would have nice to have had an extra set of eyes or hands but I managed to figure out a way to get it done by myself.
Sometimes you just need someone to tell you that you're overthinking something and move on to the next stage..🤪🤪

Quick update..
I reset the ECM by disconnecting the battery for a while. Restarted the engine and it cleared the red "Check Gages" light, but I'm sure it'll come back on if I run it too long without coolant and it detects the temp gauge out of range for too long. The CEL yellow light is still on so I checked the codes by doing the"key on/off 3 times" and got P0403 and P0406 which are EGR codes. I'm not using the EGR and is supposed to be turned off in the ECM, so I've sent Chris at Hotwire an email with this information to see what it might be.
Might be the weekend again before I get the heater hoses on and coolant in it to let it run longer and get up to temp.
Nice. Always good when you can eliminate an issue. Hopefully the EGR issue won't take much to remedy. I wonder if it's something that can be done with a emailed tune to flash the PCM or if you'll have to send it back? I'm not even close to being knowledgeable about how that works. It's why I'm letting Ryan from FRP take care of my tuning on my engine.
Look forward to that next video showing it running and getting up to temperature. I can't wait until I can get mine running long enough to get up to temp and get my codes cleared.
