Dear California, have you always been on fire?

My wife's sister just bought a house here in Kelseyville and moved into it a little over a 1 week ago, and yesterday she was ordered to evacuate and she came to stay with us last night. I said to her "Welcome to California".

Yeah this is nuts! US Forest Service closed most of the NF's in California because we are tapped out on resources. They don't want anyone in, near or around any forest land right now. National Guard had to air lift a group out of a campsite near Mammoth. The letter of order says it's only until Sept 14th, but I can see it being extended. Keep your heads up everyone and hopefully we get out of this soon. Here's a crazy map to check out:
