DIY switch panel ideas

Here's one I built for my auxiliary lighting switches. I didn't want them down low and I didn't want to drill any holes.( I hate drilling holes in my TJ! The panel doesn't intrude into my vision at all and it's worked out pretty well. I used an old license plate for the sheet metal.

Very nice setup, it looks great.

lol. It was a 4 camera rv system i got a deal on from amazon. The top switch with the TJ icon will power up the monitor on the dash and you can switch between all 4 cameras with the lower switches or triggers (like backup lights). It can also do a 3 or 4 way split on the screen so was thinking using the side cameras to get better views of front wheel placement when needed. I can post a separate thread once done if folks are interested as to not hijack this thread.
Yes. Yes. Yes. This is by far the best looking switch panel I've seen. The pdf is self explanatory but what camera system you used? How did you wire it all? Do you use the cameras often? Etc.

I didn't add any panels but just worked with what is already there.

Which seat heaters did you use? And the switches?

I used Dorman seat heater kits and they were great this past winter. I put Hyundai Tiburon seats in my LJ and the kits were very easy to install. I'm sure it would be the same for Jeep or similar seats.

The above kits come with switches, wiring, relays, etc. For the other switches I used the ones in the links below. I used the plain black ones for fixtures that I could see were on or off while sitting in the driver's seat (ie. overhead console and speaker bar lights) and the red ones that light up for fixtures that I could not see (ie. the rear bumper lights).

Excellent. Thank you.

Might have been another forum, but @jscherb was testing a camera setup and various mounts a while back. I believe it worked well for times when there's no spotter.

This was the plan I started with and I modified it a bit.

Sorry to resurrect a year-old thread, but curious if you or anyone else is selling these? I'm considering fabricating one myself, but I don't have all of the tools for sheet metal and figured it might be easier just to buy one. Would have sent a PM but I just recently signed up.

Thanks!

I just build one for myself. I think OTRATTW used to sell a similar looking panel and may still. I know there are a couple on ebay that are 3D printed, but very close in style to this. Not sure of the quality on those though. There is another site that does custom ones for the jeep, but they are pretty expensive. Cant remember the name of the last one I was thinking of. It's a little tedious, but doable to build this with just some very basic hand tools BTW.

Thanks, I suppose i'll give it a go. One last question - do you recall what kind of sheet metal was used and if it was easy to source locally? Hoping the local big box has something in stock. Thanks again, looks great.
