Removed my tank today, and found this grounding strap attached to the top of the filler hose (the metal part). The other end has a clip, shown in my hand, which was attached to part of the frame just in front of the tank.
This strap wasn’t mentioned in any of the videos that I watched when preparing for this job, and so I’m wondering if this might be another quirk of the 97 model? Thankfully I noticed it in time.
