I received this winch when I bought my TJ a year ago, I didn't put it back yet, I don't do serious offroading but I live in the mountains and I got stuck and had to call someone for recovery 6 times over the past few years with other vehicles. I think I would have been able to get out of most of this situations with the Wrangler but I would feel really bad getting stuck and having to pay someone for help while having a winch sitting in my garage.. So I want to put it back but I'm struggling to find informations about this model

It looks similar to the one in this video where they say it's a generic Warn model

Has anyone some experience with this winch? I'd like to swap the cable for a synthetic rope to save weight but I don't know if it's possible on this model and if so, what would be recommended
